Hysterical and Useless (adventures in Azeroth)

Comments

In an attempt to make this tumblelog in to a more “traditional” blog, I’ve installed Disqus, to enable commenting, and I’m going to start writing a few longer posts with actual content. This post will serve as a commenting test.

Thoughts on Disqus so far:

  • It was easy to integrate the Disqus Javascript into my template.
  • It would be nice to see what classes I have available to style without having to dig through the DOM. Maybe there’s a styling FAQ on the Disqus site, to be honest, I haven’t looked for one. There’s a page on the Disqus wiki explaining custom CSS.
  • I’d like to be able to turn more features off. That’s probably wierd, but I’d like to hide the sorting options, “community page” link, and the reply/edit/more section, leaving just a flat list of comments and the submit box. This is something I’ll be looking into! I’ve managed to get it looking and working more or less how I want.

No doubt I’ll be tweaking things slightly as time goes on, but I’m happy so far.

Argh!

Wanda and Brunik went into Scholo to complete Judgement and Redemption, the last step of the paladin charger quest. Got all the way to the paladin event in Rattlegore’s lair and then wiped on the third judgement wave, mainly due to over-confidence. Still, you have to remain philosophical about these things.

We’ll get it tomorrow. I’m impressed that we’ve managed to duo the whole charger questline; Wanda is 70 and Brunik only just 60, and yet he can tank a group of monsters while Wanda heals and picks off the runners. It almost feels like cheating.
